CLASSICAL SCULPTURE IN FLORENCE: CLAY MODELING LESSON

The clay modeling portion of the sculpture is typically created in three hours, using traditional water-based clay, to represent a figure according to the Master Sculptor's instructions (usually an anatomical detail of Michelangelo's David is chosen).
With their hands immersed in the clay, the student comes into contact with its moist, velvety texture, which adapts to the fingers, responding to the pressure and shape they apply. By focusing on tactile and visual sensations, they begin to feel an intimate connection with the clay, a sort of silent dialogue between the person and the material as it transforms under their hands, thus creating their own work of art in the company of our sculptor.

FRESCO LESSON

In the Basic level, you'll receive an introduction to fresco painting. We'll discuss the history of the technique, the materials used, and the step-by-step process for creating a fresco painting. You'll learn the basics of mixing pigments with water and applying them to wet plaster. By the end of the course (between 3 and 4 hours), you'll have created a small fresco painting.
For those with some prior painting experience, our Intermediate level is perfect. We'll delve deeper into the technique, exploring more intricate designs and advanced color mixing.

FLORENCE: LEONARDI'S DRAWINGS

The student will follow the traditional drawing process, step by step, under the expert guidance of our teachers, on paper, using sanguine, sepia, and charcoal to reproduce one of the Tuscan genius's most famous sketches.
This experience offers the opportunity to immerse yourself in the art and technique of Leonardo da Vinci, considered one of the greatest masters of the Renaissance. Over the three hours, students will learn the various techniques used by Leonardo to create his famous sketches, including his use of materials.

Together with sculptor Octavio Palomino, you can sculpt David with mallet and chisel, freeing him from his block of stone, like Michelangelo, and feel like an artist for a day.

Bachelorette Party in Florence: Carve David
This workshop is a unique and unforgettable hen party experience in Florence.
This is an exclusive "risqué" art workshop to celebrate the bride-to-be's upcoming wedding, as well as the most beautiful and authentic "Florentine" gift you can give the bride.
An afternoon will be spent dedicated to art, but also to fun and laughter: in fact, during this approximately two-hour lesson, the bride herself and her friends will sculpt a block of plaster with mallet and chisel (like a real sculptor) that will hide within it a "racy" anatomical detail of the most famous sculpture in the world: Michelangelo's David.
